We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This position is a permanent role that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on innovative projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing HVAC control systems in our manufacturing facilities. You will be a key player in ensuring our operations are energy-efficient, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
As an HVAC Controls Engineer, you will:
1. Design, program, commission, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems using various tools such as Johnson Controls, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, and KMC Programming.
2. Develop and implement Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to optimize energy usage and improve system efficiency.
3. Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure HVAC systems meet the operational needs and safety standards of the facility.
4. Provide technical support for HVAC systems, including resolving issues, conducting routine maintenance, and implementing upgrades.
5. Collaborate with other engineers and professionals on large projects, including IP infrastructure and IP networks.
6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to HVAC controls.
7. Prepare technical reports and documentation to detail all procedures and improvements made to the HVAC systems.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC controls engineering, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with Johnson Controls, IP Infrastructure, KMC Programming, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Building Automation, BAS, BMS, EMS, HVAC Controls, Controls Programming, and Controls Commissioning.
4. Strong understanding of IP Networks and related technologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is a plus.
