Summary of Position

Under direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the purpose of this position is to provide technical and/or administrative support for a variety of departmental functions including but not limited to: recruitment, selection, benefits, wellness, classification and compensation, risk management, and records management. Performs related work as required.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with various human resources management functions including recruitment, selection, benefits, wellness, compensation, risk management, and records management.
  • Provides research support, assemble information, compile statistics, and prepare reports.
  • Maintains good employee relations through timely and accurate response to questions and concerns; responds to sensitive issues while maintaining complete confidentiality.
  • Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
  • Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be in the process of acquiring a Bachelors Degree with completion of at least 90 credit hours in Human Resources or closely related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Drivers License.

Typical Working Hours

The average work schedule will be 20 flexed hours per week with additional hours as necessary
