Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist works directly with the Executive Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager to perform daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment and hiring of staff, administering employee leave benefits, and enforcing District policies and practices.

• Serve as the dedicated HR partner for assigned schools, providing support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, leaves, workers' compensation, licensure, and staffing.
• Lead recruitment and talent pipeline initiatives, building university partnerships and pathways for student teachers, interns, and emerging educators to become future hires.
• Build strong relationships with school leaders and employees, serving as a trusted, accessible resource for day-to-day HR needs and problem-solving.
• Create a positive employee experience through thoughtful candidate engagement, onboarding, communication, support, and retention efforts.
• Guide employees and leaders through FMLA, workers' compensation, accommodations, licensure, and other employment processes.
• Partner with school leaders on workforce needs, including vacancies, staffing changes, recruitment strategies, and employee concerns.
• Drive HR projects and process improvements that strengthen systems, policies, communications, and employee resources.
• Bring creativity and innovation to HR, identifying new ways to recruit talent, engage employees, and better support schools.
