This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who wants meaningful ownership of HR operations while partnering closely with the HR Director. You'll play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, payroll support, compliance, leave administration, and employee lifecycle processes that keep our organization running smoothly.

If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, enjoy solving problems, and want to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative and growing company, we'd love to hear from you.

Ready to build with us? Apply today.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and HR processes, resolving routine issues and escalating complex matters to the HR Director.

• Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, applicant tracking, candidate communications, background checks, DMV pull notices, and drug screening.

• Prepare offer letters and manage the complete onboarding experience, including HRIS setup, orientation, benefits enrollment, and compliance training.

• Administer the timekeeping system in partnership with Payroll and monitor compliance with California wage and hour requirements.

• Support payroll administration by reviewing deductions, retirement contributions, leave status changes, garnishments, and other payroll-related updates.

• Administer employee benefits, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and monthly carrier invoice reconciliation.

• Coordinate leave of absence administration, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, and Workers' Compensation, while maintaining accurate tracking and ensuring continuity of employee benefits.

• Serve as administrator for the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, accurate employee records, reporting, and system maintenance.

• Produce HR reports including headcount, turnover, organizational charts, and workforce metrics while conducting regular audits for compliance and accuracy.

• Maintain I-9 compliance, personnel records, legal posting requirements, and stay current with California and federal employment laws.

• Assist with development, communication, and periodic review of HR policies and employee handbook updates.

• Coordinate employee separations, exit interviews, final documentation, COBRA notifications, and offboarding processes.

• Coordinate tracking of training and support performance review administration.

What You'll Bring

• 3-5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience with demonstrated responsibility across multiple HR functional areas.

• Working knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour regulations, FEHA, CFRA, PDL, and related employment requirements.

• Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS, compliance, payroll support, and leave administration.

• Proficiency with HR technology and business applications, including HRIS reporting and data analysis, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), electronic document management systems, Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel functions), and electronic personnel records management. (UKG preferred)

• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset and a commitment to providing outstanding support to employees and managers.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leaders and cross-functional teams.

• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.

• Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and professional HR certification (PHR or actively working toward certification) preferred

What We Offer

• A collaborative, team-oriented culture where employees genuinely support one another.

• Meaningful work that helps build the communities we live and work in.

• A stable, established company with a strong reputation and continued growth.

• Opportunities to expand your HR knowledge and take ownership of key HR functions.
