Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders across the organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities, from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and employee engagement. You''ll partner closely with leadership while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day HR operations that keep our team successful.

Compensation and Benefits

• $60,000-$70,000 annual salary based on experience

What You''ll Do

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers

• Support employee relations by providing guidance, coaching, and problem resolution

• Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding activities

• Administer employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions

• Maintain employee records and HR reporting through Paylocity

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

• Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives

• Help facilitate annual employee check-ins and engagement efforts

• Support leadership with hiring best practices and interview coordination

• Coordinate employee appreciation events, recognition programs, and community involvement activities

• Build relationships with local trade schools and workforce development partners to support recruiting

• Participate in occasional technician ride-alongs to better understand field operations and company culture

What We''re Looking For

• Three or more years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist or similar HR role

• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance

• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration

• Experience supporting managers with employee performance and workplace concerns

• Experience using HRIS systems, with Paylocity experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus

• Experience in HVAC, construction, plumbing, home services, or another skilled trades industry is preferred
