GENERAL PURPOSE
The Leave of Absence Coordinator will serve as the main point-of-contact for Leave of Absence requests and will be responsible for establishing FMLA, other unpaid, military and/or City specific leave requests. This position will also be responsible for managing the ADA accommodation process.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED & EXERCISED
This position will work under the general guidance of the HR Director.
This position has no supervisory functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Leave of Absence Coordinator may perform some or all of the following essential functions, including additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in business administration, public administration, or similar field
AND
Two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources or Benefits
OR
Equivalent combination education and experience that meets the minimum qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
