Human Resources Representative  Summary: This role is responsible for employee relations, hourly recruiting and onboarding, benefits administration, the safety committee and program, and recordkeeping. Labor relations with union committee and local.  Primary Responsibilities: 1. Discuss personnel requirements with Plant Manager and staff to determine recruitment strategy.  2. Disseminate information on company and job opportunities to potential applicants, via personal meetings and written material.  3. Interview candidates to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.  4. Determine the requirement, design, and placement of employment advertising.  5. Direct reference checks and activities used to confirm applicant information.  6. Administer the Company basic training program, exit interviews and record maintenance.  7. Coordinate and schedule all facility training programs to include acquiring and maintaining necessary training materials.  8. Coordinate and make arrangements for all scheduled corporate and training meetings at plant location.  9. Provide yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary control.  10. Administer employee benefit programs.  11. Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.  12. Administer and plan employee morale and welfare programs (company picnics, fund raisers, luncheons, etc.).  13. Assist in administration of plant safety program by chairing the company safety committee, safety incentives administration, OSHA compliance, and safety incident documentation and investigation.  14. Labor relations activities, including job bid process, labor contract interpretation, seniority and recall lists, grievance procedures, and participating in collective bargaining process.  Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises Human Resources Assistant.  Travel: Occasional travel to other Morrison Products facilities.  Confidentiality: Handles confidential personal, medical, legal, and salary information.  Experience Required: Over 3 years up to and including 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.  Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.  Other: Good communication, presentation, and writing skills. Must be PC literate, including Word, Excel, and HRIS. |
