Purpose: The HSE Field Representative provides oversight of field operations to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across assigned locations or districts. This role also supports and empowers employees with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively respond to unplanned events, reinforcing a culture of safety and preparedness in the field.
Role/Responsibilities:
Providesadvisory and technical support to the designated area(s) of responsibility. Including areas in Texas and New Mexico.
Conducts routine site visits to support operations, reinforcing XRI expectations and adherence to client requirements.
Facilitate new hire orientation, safety meetings, and act as a confident presenter of HSE content to diverse audiences.
Partners with the local management teams to identify and resolve opportunities of improvement; engages with teams to ensure expectations are understood and followed by all personnel.
Ensure all required HSE reporting is completed timely and accurately.
Ensures their designated location(s) activities and operations are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations (local, state, federal) and SOPs, Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
Advises and supports local management in activities to foster a positive culture.
Follow all HSE processes and procedures.
Participates in spill response by collecting and documenting incident details post-mitigation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Participates in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, and maintains availability to respond to after-hours incidents as needed.
Maintains oversight of HSE equipment at field locations, ensuring all safety assets are inspected, functional, and compliant with company expectations and regulatory standards.
Responds to and manages incidents including vehicle accidents, employee injuries, and chemical exposures, ensuring proper care, reporting, and follow-up actions are completed.
Participates in the collection and documentation of information related to Workers’ Compensation claims, supporting official response efforts as needed.
Contributes to incident investigations and root cause analyses by compiling and submitting initial event details and supporting data.
Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
Education requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or relevant work industry experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Oil and Gas HSE
Experience and familiarity with energy and water industries preferred
Knowledge of Incident and Reporting Systems
SafeLand, H2S, CPR/1st Aid current training
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
Outstanding team player
Excellent communication skills
Experience with incident root cause analysis (RCA)
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required
OSHA 30 or equivalent certifications preferred
Knowledge of OSHA requirements/standard
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and walk on concrete and uneven surfaces
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
