HR Operations & Analytics Manager

HR Operations & Analytics Manager

We are currently seeking candidates for an HR Operations & Analytics Manager opportunity with a large healthcare organization located in Boston, MA. The HR Operations & Analytics Manager will support a combination of workforce administration, payroll-related operations, reporting, and data analysis while helping leadership better understand staffing and departmental performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across HR/workforce operations and analytics, with strong Excel and reporting skills and the ability to turn data into clear, useful information for business leaders. This HR Operations & Analytics Manager opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day operational responsibilities with analytical and process improvement work.

This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity paying between $40-$54/hour, depending on experience. The position follows a hybrid work model in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Support payroll activities, timekeeping, scheduling, leave tracking, and workforce administration.
• Build and maintain reports covering staffing, attendance, overtime, vacancies, productivity, and workforce trends.
• Partner with department leaders on workforce planning and operational decision-making.
• Create dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data visualizations for management.
• Analyze workforce and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare executive summaries and presentations for leadership.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, technology, and operational teams.
• Improve reporting processes through technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
• Maintain accurate and consistent workforce and operational data.

Qualifications:

• Experience in HR operations, workforce administration, payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, analytics, reporting, or business operations.
• Strong experience with workforce or business reporting and dashboards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to analyze data and clearly communicate findings to business leaders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Ability to balance operational responsibilities with analytical projects as an HR Operations & Analytics Manager.
