HR Manager

A growing organization is looking for an HR Manager to help build the people infrastructure needed for its next stage of growth. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building processes, developing teams, supporting managers, and creating scalable HR practices—not simply maintaining what already exists. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop a growing HR Operations team
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and performance management
• Coach managers through employee and workplace issues
• Lead HR compliance and California employment law initiatives
• Oversee benefits, leave administration, and payroll coordination
• Improve HR systems, workflows, policies, and service delivery
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, development, and growth
• Manage HR vendors and external partnerships
• Help transition HR from a PEO-supported model to a stronger internal function

Required skills and qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience
• 3+ years of HR leadership or team management experience
• Strong employee relations and investigation experience
• Solid knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance
• Experience with benefits, leave, payroll, and employee lifecycle processes
• Strong leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or electrical industry experience
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
• Experience transitioning from a PEO-supported HR model
• High-growth company experience
• Experience improving HR systems and processes

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $135K to $150K, depending on experience.
