Our client is seeking a highly engaged and hands-on Human Resources Manager to support multiple locations in a fast-paced operational environment. This is not a traditional desk-based HR role—this position requires a visible, “boots-on-the-ground” presence, building relationships in the field and supporting employees and leaders directly.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), thrives in dynamic environments, and is comfortable traveling extensively (approximately 75%) to support workforce needs across sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across multiple locations
- Provide on-site support, coaching, and guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies
- Travel regularly (up to 75%) to ensure consistent HR support and visibility in the field
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and temporary roles, including:
- Managing job postings and candidate pipelines
- Coordinating interviews and hiring processes
- Preparing offer letters, onboarding documentation, and pre-employment requirements
- Partner with operational leaders to assess workforce needs and identify required skills and competencies
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a strong employee experience from day one
- Support and drive employee engagement and recognition initiatives across locations
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and terminations
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on managing performance and addressing workplace concerns
- Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits (including 401(k)), leave of absence, and compliance-related processes
- Ensure accurate and timely HR data management within HRIS systems
- Respond to employee and applicant inquiries, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes
Required Skills & Competencies
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to build trust and relationships in a field-based, multi-site environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Comfortable working in a highly visible, hands-on role with frequent employee interaction
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
OR - Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in an industrial or field-based environment
OR - 3–5 years of HR Generalist or HR Manager experience in manufacturing, construction, or field service industries
