HR Generalist

A well-established manufacturing company in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting employees and managers across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations
• 
  
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
• 
  
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for hourly and salaried positions
• 
  
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
• 
  
• Handle employee relations matters and help address workplace concerns
• 
  
• Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
• 
  
• Support payroll processes and ensure accurate employee information
• 
  
• Assist with performance management, attendance tracking, and disciplinary processes
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations
• 
  
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative projects
• 
  
• Partner with management to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
• 
  
• Help develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
• 
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• 3+ years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience
• 
  
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or other fast-paced onsite environment preferred
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
• 
  
• Experience with an HRIS/payroll system; ADP experience is a plus
• 
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• 
  
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• 
  
• Comfortable working independently and partnering with employees at all levels
• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
•

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable being visible and accessible to employees in a manufacturing environment. This person should be able to balance day-to-day HR administration with employee relations, recruiting, and compliance responsibilities.

Compensation: $65,000-75,000
