HR Generalist

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a variety of human resources functions within a mission-driven organization. This role will work closely with managers and employees, providing hands-on support across employee relations, investigations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is a confident HR professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a solid understanding of employment laws. This person should be comfortable working independently, handling sensitive situations with discretion, and partnering directly with managers to address employee needs and concerns.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

• 
  
• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
• 
  
• Conduct and assist with employee relations investigations and workplace concerns
• 
  
• Coach managers and employees on performance, workplace issues, and HR policies

• Support talent acquisition activities, including recruiting and hiring processes

• Coordinate employee onboarding and assist with offboarding activities

• Support performance management processes and documentation

Qualifications of the HR Generalist:

• 
  
• Previous experience in an HR Generalist or similar broad-based HR role
• 
  
• Hands-on experience with employee relations and workplace investigations
• 
  
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• 
  
• Paychex experience is a plus
•
