    The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of HR functions, with a strong emphasis on managing relationships with staffing agencies, recruiting operational and middle-level staff, and administering employee benefits. This role requires a well-rounded HR professional who can contribute to various aspects of the employee lifecycle and support the overall HR strategy.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • Recruitment and Staffing:
      • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for operational and middle-level positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staffing agencies to source qualified candidates for temporary and permanent positions.
      • Evaluate staffing agency performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service.
      • Conduct background checks and reference checks on potential hires.
      • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
    • Staff Agency Management:
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for staffing agencies, providing guidance and support as needed.
      • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for temporary staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
      • Track temporary staff hours and approve timesheets.
      • Monitor and address performance issues with temporary staff.
    • Benefits Administration:
      • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with market trends.
      • Conduct salary benchmarking and participate in compensation surveys.
      • Manage employee benefits enrollment and administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
    • Performance Management:
      • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and other employee perks.
      • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
      • Process benefits-related paperwork and maintain accurate records.
      • Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure timely processing of claims.
      • Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide benefits education to employees.
    • Employee Relations:
      • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
      • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances.
      • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • HR Compliance:
      • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
      • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
      • Assist with HR audits to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
    • Performance Management:
      • Assist with the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
      • Track employee performance and identify areas for improvement.
      • Assist with the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
    • Training and Development:
      • Assist with the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
      • Track employee training participation and maintain training records.
    • HRIS Management:
      • Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS system.
      • Generate reports from the HRIS system as needed.
      • Assist with HRIS system upgrades and implementations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a staffing agency management.
    • Experience recruiting for operational and middle-level positions.
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
    • Experience administering employee benefits programs.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
