We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle while helping us cultivate a service-focused workplace. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership and operational managers across both locations.

Compensation: $65,000 – $82,000 / year (DOE)
Schedule: Business hours (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM); occasional evening/weekend support
Position Summary
The HR Generalist manages day-to-day human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll-related changes, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and offboarding. Serving as the primary HR liaison between employees, managers, executive leadership, and external partners, you will ensure our people processes are accurate, consistent, responsive, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- HRIS Administration: Maintain accurate employee profiles, job data, compensation records, and workflows in our HRIS platform. Generate recurring reports and monitor data integrity.
- Payroll & Timekeeping Coordination: Review payroll data before each cycle, monitor timecards (overtime, missed punches, meal periods), coordinate adjustments, and help resolve discrepancies with Finance and payroll providers.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate the full onboarding journey from offer letter and background checks to Form I-9 verification and orientation. Manage seamless offboarding, property returns, and exit interviews.
- Recruitment: Partner with hiring managers to define needs, post open positions, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and maintain an organized, welcoming recruitment pipeline.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted first point of contact for routine employee questions and workplace guidance. Support managers with performance coaching, documentation, and conflict resolution, escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Compliance & Records Management: Maintain confidential, audit-ready personnel files. Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws, manage policy acknowledgements, and track recurring HR deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 to 5 years of HR Generalist or HR operations experience covering recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience administering HRIS platforms and maintaining electronic records.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Google Workspace.
- Working knowledge of modern productivity and AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Notion).
- Solid understanding of federal employment laws and HR best practices.
- Exceptional organization, discretion, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced small business; background in hospitality, weddings, events, or service industries is a strong plus.
- Prior experience administering Rippling.
- Familiarity using AI tools and project management software to streamline HR processes and reporting.
- Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-state workforce.
- Advanced Google Sheets and HR reporting skills.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or comparable HR certification.

Pay Range:
USD $65,000.00 - USD $82,000.00 /Yr.
