Role Summary
The HR Consultant will provide hands on human resources support during a critical leave coverage period, ensuring continuity of HR operations across corporate and field locations. This individual will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders while supporting employee relations, compliance initiatives, recruiting efforts, workforce reporting, and organizational integration activities.
This role will play a key part in maintaining consistency across a multi entity environment while helping preserve local cultures and support broader organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a self directed HR professional who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, and quickly become a valued partner to business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily HR operations across corporate and operating locations
Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, corrective actions, and workforce concerns
Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, interview scheduling, offer administration, and onboarding
Maintain employee records, organizational charts, HR documentation, and workforce data
Support multi state HR compliance and labor practice requirements, including union related environments
Track employee lifecycle changes including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and offboarding activities
Build and maintain workforce reports, headcount tracking, turnover metrics, dashboards, and HR analytics
Assist with training coordination, safety program tracking, and employee communications
Support integrations, process improvement initiatives, and HR standardization projects
Key Requirements
4+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or similar role
Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, and HR operations
Experience supporting multi site, multi entity, or geographically dispersed workforces
Experience working in environments with hourly and salaried employee populations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to independently manage spreadsheets, formulas, trackers, and workforce reporting
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience supporting labor relations or union environments preferred
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow through skills
Self directed with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs
Preferred Skills
Experience in construction, industrial services, field services, engineering services, manufacturing, or related operational environments
Experience supporting organizational integrations, acquisitions, or business transformation initiatives
Familiarity with payroll and HR administration within a PEO environment
Experience preparing workforce analytics and HR dashboards for leadership teams
