Job Type: Full-Time Penmac Staffing is seeking an HR Generalist for a manufacturing client in the Springfield area. This onsite HR Generalist position supports employee relations, onboarding, training, payroll administration, HRIS functions, and workforce reporting. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and supporting employees and leadership in a fast-paced production environment. Requirements for the People Generalist
- 3-5 years of HR, employee relations, payroll, or HR operations experience
- Manufacturing or high-volume workplace experience preferred
- Knowledge of employee relations, investigations, policies, and documentation
- Experience with HRIS systems, payroll support, onboarding, and reporting
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and confidentiality skills
People Generalist Responsibilities
- Support employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and employee concerns
- Manage onboarding, employee records, HRIS updates, and workforce reporting
- Review attendance records, timekeeping data, and payroll information for accuracy
- Coordinate training programs, orientations, and employee development activities
- Assist with unemployment claims, personnel files, and employment verifications
- Partner with leadership on staffing, workforce planning, engagement, and retention efforts
