Description

Title: HR Benefits Analyst

Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources

Location: 305 7th Ave, New York, NY 10001

Hours: 35 hours / Salaried Non-Exempt

Salary: $57,600 - $64,000

Job Summary: The HR Benefits Analyst is the Benefits Administrator for GSS. This position analyzes all employee benefits and manages all related data and processes. Provides troubleshooting guidance and enlists the assistance of the Benefits Analyst. This role will also provide ADP WFN support in conjunction with Benefits Analyst. This position will maintain the ADP homepage and provide regular updates regarding Benefits and ADP WFN on the Green Door.

Major Duties:

  • Monitor staff members’ eligibility for benefits programs, particularly as employment status changes and notifies stakeholders in conjunction with HR Operations Manager
  • Conduct regular audits of employee benefits enrollments, analyze open enrollment information, verify correct enrollment in Workforce Now compared with benefit vendor systems.
  • Manage electronic carrier connections, ensuring regular and accurate transmissions.
  • Answer benefits-related questions and resolve problems as they arise while enlisting the support from the Benefits/HRIS Analyst.
  • Point of contact for Benefit brokers and account managers as appropriate.
  • Work with Benefits/HRIS Analyst to maintain log of benefit related issues.
  • Manage open enrollment meetings, information sessions, wellness fairs and other benefit related events.
  • Audit and reconcile invoices from benefits providers and submit for payment.
  • Prepare check requests for all Benefit vendors including voluntary Benefit vendors.
  • Perform HRIS mass updates and complete regular HRIS maintenance processes, consulting the IT department and outside vendors as required.
  • Develop and perform regular audits of HR and Benefits data. Recommend solutions to resolve any identified issues.
  • Provide day-to-day benefits support and troubleshooting for HR team members, managers, and employees.
  • Create, modify and distribute regular and ad hoc HRIS reports relating to HR and Benefits data.
  • Facilitate Benefits presentation at New Staff Training in collaboration with HR Operations Manager.
  • Point-person for Workers’ Compensation data at monthly meeting with Risk Management team.
  • Approve all workers compensation, disability and return to work authorizations. o Manage Benefit and ADP content added to the Green Door.
  • Assist in creating annual reports to regulatory bodies, including EEO-1 & 2 compliance, ACA, COA, OCFS, Turnover, OSHA, Workers Comp, Multiple Worksites Location DOL and survey’s required by RFPs and GSS affiliates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus three years of full-time experience administering a comprehensive benefits program strongly preferred.
  • Proven customer/client service sensibility and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Must be proficient with ADP Workforce Now and HR Benefits platform applications.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to problem solve, ensure data accuracy, and conduct audits with attention to detail.
  • Capability to transition easily between working independently with high degree of self-initiative and contributing as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated competence in verbal, written, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, email and scheduling software.
  • Able to use public transportation throughout New York City for travel to Good Shepherd locations.
