HR Assistant

Job Description

MileOne Autogroup is looking for an HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team at our corporate office in Towson, MD.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on Human Resources experience and build a career in HR. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping others.

The HR Assistant will support the HR team with employee onboarding, recruiting support, employee questions, recordkeeping, HR systems, and other daily HR activities. This role provides valuable exposure to many areas of Human Resources and is a great opportunity to learn and grow within the field.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with new-hire onboarding, including hiring paperwork and pre-employment requirements.
• Answer employee questions and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Complete and maintain audits and reports including, but not limited to onboarding, I-9 documentation, MVR reports etc.
• Enter and update employee information in the HR system (HRIS).
• Assist with payroll and benefits audits.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Prepare correspondence and other HR documents as needed.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
• Learn and support various HR processes and procedures.
• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Entry-level candidates interested in starting a career in Human Resources are encouraged to apply.
• Previous HR experience - school, administrative, customer service, internship, or office experience is applicable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and professional approach when working with employees and managers.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the HR field.
