Description

HR Administrator(Contract)
  • Industry: Energy / Industrial Operations
  • Location: Houston, TX (Galleria Area)
  • Schedule: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday remote after training period)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week with schedule flexibility available (team typically begins around 7:30 AM)
  • Duration: Immediate start through December 2026, with potential for extension or future permanent consideration
  • Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to support a dynamic operational workforce in a hands-on Human Resources role. This position is highly operational and administrative in nature, providing day-to-day HR support for employees and leadership teams within a field-based environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing employee relations, recruitment coordination, workforce administration, compliance activities, and general HR support. This role requires a proactive professional who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while supporting both strategic initiatives and detailed administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned operational teams and employee groups.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees, supervisors, and business leaders.
  • Partner with management on employee relations matters and workforce administration.
  • Support recruitment efforts, onboarding activities, and staffing coordination.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with investigations, policy interpretation, and employee issue resolution.
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and operations teams to drive consistency in HR processes and compliance standards.
  • Assist with organizational changes and workforce transitions as business needs evolve.
  • Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience supporting operational, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or field-based workforces.
  • Experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, HR Coordinator, or similar HR support role.
  • Knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively support employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting industrial, energy, marine, manufacturing, or similar workforce populations is preferred.
