Hospital Medical Equipment Repair Specialist (Field)

What you’ll do
- Execute troubleshooting and corrective repairs on STERIS and non-STERIS equipment used in hospital environments.
- Deliver preventive maintenance, service and warranty calls, installations, and field upgrades—owning your schedule to hit commitments.
- Team up with Technical Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management to escalate the right issues at the right time.
- Leverage digital platforms to satisfy regulatory compliance steps and to log and resolve service activities.
- Present findings, pricing, and repair options to Customers; with leadership support, collaborate with Sales to elevate Customer experience and spot growth opportunities.
- Support multiple sites across your territory according to service agreements and demand.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years of total work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a mechanical/technical capacity. An associate degree, relevant certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military background may be considered toward the technical requirement.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to satisfy all background and physical assessment elements required for vendor credentialing (new and existing).
- Experience engaging with Customers and collaborating within teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer proficiency: Windows/email, navigation, mobile apps, and multi-system data entry.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overnights and early/late shifts, as needed by Customers.
Ideal prior experience
HVAC, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers/chillers, equipment repair, diesel/automotive, aviation, plumbing, or electrical trades.
Location requirement
This is a remote field role. To serve our Customers, candidates must reside in California.
