    ABOUT THE ROLE

    A growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, family offices, and closely held entities. This role combines technical tax expertise with client advisory responsibilities and offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor on sophisticated wealth transfer and estate planning matters.

    The ideal candidate will have deep experience in fiduciary taxation, estate and gift tax planning, trust taxation, and high-net-worth client service. This individual will also play a leadership role in mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and collaborating with external advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth preservation strategies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, family partnerships, and private foundations.
    • Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for a portfolio of private clients and multi-generational families.
    • Develop and implement sophisticated estate, gift, and wealth transfer planning strategies.
    • Review fiduciary, individual, gift, and estate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
    • Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth preservation, charitable giving, and succession planning strategies.
    • Review trust and estate structures to ensure alignment with client objectives and tax planning opportunities.
    • Collaborate with attorneys, investment advisors, family office professionals, and other external advisors.
    • Assist clients with complex trust administration and estate settlement matters.
    • Monitor changes in tax legislation and proactively advise clients on planning opportunities.
    • Mentor and develop tax professionals through technical guidance, review, and coaching.
    • Participate in business development activities and help strengthen long-term client relationships.
    • Support the growth and expansion of the private client services practice.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • CPA required;Master's in Taxation, JD, or LLM is a plus.
    • 8+ years of public accounting experience focused on private client, trust, estate, and fiduciary taxation.
    • Strong technical knowledge of trust, estate, gift, and individual income taxation.
    • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, and closely held businesses.
    • Knowledge of wealth transfer planning, charitable planning, and estate administration.
    • Experience reviewing complex fiduciary tax returns and estate planning structures.
    • Strong client relationship management and advisory skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and mentor staff.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience collaborating with attorneys and external advisors on integrated planning strategies.
