    The Pitt Biospecimen Core Histology Lab is an institutional research resource that supports University of Pittsburgh and UPMC faculty through high-quality tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, staining support, tissue microarray construction, and related histology services. Located within Shadyside Hospital, with satellite pick-up and drop-off stations at Scaife Hall and Magee-Women's Hospital, the lab supports research activity across the University's campus and affiliated clinical research sites. The Research Histology Technician - Laboratory Manager I supports the full lifecycle of histology laboratory operations, from project accessioning, cassette labeling, slide printing, processing, embedding, routine and frozen sectioning, and project compilation to distribution and submission for whole slide imaging through the Digital Pathology Resource Center.
