The Department of Health and Welfare is hiring a Health Program Manager for our Public Health division. This position will design, implement, and evaluate public health emergency response framework to protect communities across Idaho from health threats. They will oversee federal grant activities related to the preparedness cycle; organize incident management team, and coordinate public health division response with planning, training, and exercises, and supervise staff. This position is located in Boise.
This position is not eligible for telework.

MINIMUM/SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Considerable knowledge of health program needs assessment and program development, implementation, and evaluation.Typically requires completion of a Bachelor's degree, or higher, in health or a health science field such as public health, health education, nursing, environmental health, public health administration, or a related field, plus four years of related experience OR a Master's degree in a related field and two years of related experience OR at least eight years of full-time working experience directly in this field.
Experience developing and implementing or managing public health programs. Typically requires at least two years of experience developing and implementing public health program(s)ORone year of experience managing a public health program including developing a work plan of goals, objectives and activities, developing a program evaluation process and a program budget.
Experience coordinating health services or public health programs with various agencies and organizations. Typically requires a minimum of one year of experience coordinating health services or public health programs with various agencies and organizations.
Experience providing health program consultation to organizations and programs. Typically requires a minimum of one year of experience providing health program consultation to organizations and programs.
Experience evaluating health related educational materials. Typically requires a minimum of one year of experience evaluating health related educational materials.
Experience writing grant proposals. Typically requires a minimum of one year of experience writing grant proposals.
