As a Health Information Manager, you'll have a key role in creating a positive experience for Neighborhood patients by developing a team that processes medical records and health information accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service for patients.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll manage a team of health information representatives, identifying, encouraging and developing their skills and talents so they can serve our patients. You pay attention to detail and you understand that department processes and accuracy are an important part of patient care. You will implement workflows within your department and streamline processes that support clinical teams and meet changing guidelines. You'll collaborate with other departments and be involved with quality improvement efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the health information department ensuring records are accurate and compliant, and ensuring responsiveness to patient requests

  • Supervising and developing the health information staff

  • Implementing best practices in documentation, workflows and data integrity across the organization

  • Managing compliant processing of patient and third party requests.

You will be primarily based at our Mattina location, 300 Niagara Street, Buffalo, and will also occasionally travel to other Neighborhood sites.

Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • 5 years or more of experience in health information preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Read, write, and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish is preferred

What We Offer:

Compensation: $79,000 - $82,000 annually (based on a full time, 40 hour work week)

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
