Guest Services Representative

Hotel AKA NoMad, part of the AKA Hotels+Hotel Residences portfolio is recruiting a Guest Service Representative!

The Guest Services Representative is our guests' first point of contact and manage all aspects of their stay in a friendly, service-oriented manner while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Applicants with hotel experience and previous customer service experience are encouraged to apply.

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Greets and registers guests, providing prompt and courteous service. Closes guest accounts upon completion of their stay. Resolves guest challenges throughout their stay in our property.
• Completes the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from the system, confirming pertinent information including number of guests and room rate. Codes electronic keys. Non-verbally confirms the room number and rate. Promotes and administers AKA Programs . Ensures guest knows location of room. Provides welcome packet containing room keys, and Wi-Fi information.
• Greets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Uses a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understands requests, responds with appropriate action and provide accurate information such outlet hours, special VIP programs, events, etc. Uses guest name in a sincere manner to create personalized service.
• Receives special requests from guests and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate colleagues for decisions and actions.
• Promptly answers phones and email inquiries.
• Fields guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results.
• Performing tasks in PMS system such as, settling folios, balancing the house, reviewing room status
• Running and printing daily reports
• Performs any other job-related function as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Reliability to complete overnight shifts
• Minimum of one year of guest service experience.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrated strong guest service skills.
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated strong guest service, problem solving and decision-making skills.
