Group Leader

Maintain quality expectations and address issues promptly through problem-solving and root-cause analysis. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, human resources, and other support teams as needed.

Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Group Leader for their Romulus, MI location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support team members in achieving daily performance goals.
• Assign work, balance resources, and coordinate schedules based on operational needs.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
• Monitor work processes and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain quality expectations and address issues promptly through problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Track key performance indicators, communicate results, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Conduct shift-start meetings, communicate priorities, and provide updates to leadership.
• Train and mentor employees on processes, equipment, safety requirements, and standard work.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen team performance.
• Document attendance, production, quality, safety, and other required information accurately.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, human resources, and other support teams as needed.
• Resolve routine employee and operational issues fairly, consistently, and professionally.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of approved process changes.

 
Requirements:

• HSD Required
• Minimum Of 2 years Of Exp
• Top 3 must-have hard skills:
• Manufacturing Data and Safety Systems
• Leading the Union Experience
• Production Process and Equipment Knowledge
