Job Requirements Position OverviewThe Margot Hotel located in the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is seeking a dynamic Group & Business Transient Sales Manager to drive group and negotiated corporate revenue.This is a key sales role responsible for building foundational group and negotiated corporate business from the ground up. The ideal candidate is proactive market-savvy and experienced in driving production within a competitive urban environment.This position will play an instrumental role in establishing the hotels market presence and supporting revenue ramp-up.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue GenerationProactively solicit new group and negotiated corporate accounts through prospecting networking and outside sales activities.Manage incoming RFPs in accordance with brand and company standards.Achieve monthly quarterly and annual revenue and production goals.Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize profitability.Conduct site tours client presentations and virtual sales appointments.Participate in trade shows and industry events.Business Transient & Account ManagementIdentify and secure negotiated corporate accounts within key demand generators.Manage annual corporate RFP process.Build strong relationships with travel managers and corporate clients.Ensure seamless transition of confirmed business to operations teams.Collaboration & StrategyPartner with Revenue Management to optimize business mix.Participate in forecasting and strategy sessions.Support development of the annual sales plan.Maintain accurate CRM documentation and reporting.Work Experience QualificationsMinimum 2 years of hotel sales experience group andor business transient required.Hilton brand experience strongly preferred.Experience in pre-opening conversion or ramp-up environments preferred.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.Strong negotiation presentation and communication skills.Familiarity with hotel CRM and sales systems DelphiFDC or similar preferred.Knowledge of the San Diego market a plus.Benefits Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary 75000 - 85000 commensurate with experiencebase salary bonus incentiveBonus incentive program tied to revenue goalsMedical dental and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401k with company match if applicableGrowth opportunities within a growing hospitality organizationDisclaimer This job posting is for a position at a hotel that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee.
