  1. Must be in good academic standing
  2. Hold a bachelors degree or higher appropriate to the area of service
  3. Have successfully completed eighteen (18) hours of graduate course work in the assigned teaching discipline
  4. Be registered full-time for the respective semester - nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session, or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

Posting Number: A1352 Working Title: Graduate Assistant Instructor Location: Rio Grande Valley, Texas College: College of Liberal Arts Department: College of Liberal Arts Writing and Language Studies Division Provost - Academic Affairs FTE: .50 Scope of Job Duties include but are not limited to: • Providing feedback and/or grading student work • Monitoring, proctoring, course activities, leading laboratory sessions, discussions, sessions, or recitation labs • Providing office hours assistance to students • Performing clerical tasks associated with course instruction

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Candidate must be a Graduate Student in the English Program. Candidate must have 18 hours in Graduate English Program preferably Rhetoric & Composition and/or Linguistics, including ENGL 6325, either prior or during the semester of apply to post. Linguistics: 18 hours in Graduate Linguistics Program Preferred Qualifications
