Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems seeks a graduate assistant to support the organization of student learning information, course documentation, and early accreditation preparation for USC Upstate's Industrial Engineering program. The position will focus on maintaining accurate and usable program records for research and accreditation. Responsibilities include organizing student performance and course-assessment data; assisting faculty in exploring clear ways to summarize or visualize that information for teaching and course-development decisions; maintaining records of course syllabi, assignments, assessments, rubrics, and examples of student work; and helping establish an organized repository for materials that may be needed during future ABET accreditation and program-review activities. The graduate assistant may also help prepare routine tables, charts, summaries, and documentation that allow faculty to identify instructional patterns and confirm that required program evidence is being collected. Assignments involving data organization, reporting, visualization, document management, and accreditation preparation will, where practical, be matched to the graduate assistant's experience and professional interests. This is a mentored experience in educational data management, program assessment, academic documentation, and accreditation support.
