Approximately 15 hours per week during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Schedule will be coordinated with the supervisor around the student's course schedule and project needs. The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems seeks a graduate assistant to support the organization of student learning information, course documentation, and early accreditation preparation for USC Upstate's Industrial Engineering program. The position will focus on maintaining accurate and usable program records for research and accreditation. Responsibilities include organizing student performance and course-assessment data; assisting faculty in exploring clear ways to summarize or visualize that information for teaching and course-development decisions; maintaining records of course syllabi, assignments, assessments, rubrics, and examples of student work; and helping establish an organized repository for materials that may be needed during future ABET accreditation and program-review activities. The graduate assistant may also help prepare routine tables, charts, summaries, and documentation that allow faculty to identify instructional patterns and confirm that required program evidence is being collected. Assignments involving data organization, reporting, visualization, document management, and accreditation preparation will, where practical, be matched to the graduate assistant's experience and professional interests. This is a mentored experience in educational data management, program assessment, academic documentation, and accreditation support.

Qualifications

Applicants should have strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in education, data organization, program assessment, or accreditation support. Experience with one or more of the following is preferred but not required: Excel, Power BI or another reporting platform, database or file organization, document management, basic data visualization, course assessment, or design of learning objectives. The successful candidate must be able to manage confidential or sensitive educational information responsibly, maintain accurate records, learn new tools and reporting requirements, work independently, regularly communicate progress, and collaborate with faculty.   • Must be a currently enrolled graduate student with six graduate credit hours per semester
  • Current graduate students are required to have a 3.0 GPA
  • Newly admitted graduate students must have an undergraduate 2.75 GPA
  • To maintain the position, graduate students must maintain a 3.0 GPA
