This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three (3) days in-office based out of our West Sacramento office and two (2) days working remotely.
This is a full-time limited-term position for approximately a two-year term offering full benefits.
Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong customer service, analytical, communication, and technical skills to serve as our Governance Technology Specialist. Under general supervision of the Manager, Technology Sales and Training, you will plan, organize, and provide advanced-level member support for CSBA technology programs; utilize specialized program knowledge to perform a variety of administrative and program-specific support duties; provide administrative and analytical support to management and departmental staff; provide direct customer service to CSBA members; participate in customizing program-specific deliverables; and perform related work as required.
In this role, you will provide administrative, analytical, technical, and customer support for CSBA programs, services, and technologies; deliver customized training and presentations to members and Association staff; provide technical and non-technical support and critical-thinking-based solutions; research and resolve member concerns and inquiries; develop and customize program-specific materials; promote CSBA technology, programs, products, and services; maintain detailed department records and databases; research, compile, organize, and analyze information and data; and assist with the coordination and implementation of governance technology programs; perform related work as required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides a variety of administrative, analytical, and customer support activities for CSBA programs, services, and technologies.
Delivers customized training for specific technology programs and services to organizational members and Association staff through various means, including in person, by telephone, email, and webcasts.
Provides CSBA members and Association staff with technical and non-technical support and delivers positive, critical-thinking-based solutions.
Addresses concerns, inquiries, and complaints from member agencies or the general public in a professional manner; researches information, identifies and reports findings, and takes appropriate action to ensure an expedient and satisfactory resolution.
Maintains and cultivates positive relationships with Association members.
Creates content, develops, and conducts presentations to boards and groups promoting CSBA technology, programs, and services; prepares written materials explaining Association programs and procedures.
Represents CSBA at the annual conference and other events, including staffing CSBA program and product booths.
Promotes and markets CSBA products, programs, and services.
Assists with researching, formatting, and customizing content for program-specific correspondence, forms, reports, presentations, marketing collateral, and manuals.
Performs administrative assignments and special projects related to assigned areas of responsibility; maintains accurate and detailed department-specific records, schedules, reports, files, plans, databases, and other operational and/or confidential information.
Researches, compiles, organizes, and analyzes information and data for special projects and various reports, publications, and newsletters.
Prepares, reviews, and processes analytical and technical reports, contracts, policies, and procedures relating to departmental operations and designs and implements forms as necessary.
Develops, verifies, and reviews forms, contracts, and reports for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures.
Organizes and maintains various administrative, confidential, reference, and program files.
Interprets, explains, and applies departmental and program policies and procedures in determining completeness of applications, records, and files.
Assists with coordinating logistics and implementation of governance technology programs.
Operates standard office equipment, including job-related computer hardware and software, applications, facsimile equipment, photocopiers, and multi-line telephones.
Seeks continual education opportunities for technical services, processes, and procedures.
Promotes the mission and values of CSBA by demonstrating respect, honesty, professionalism, and adherence to CSBA values, policies, and practices.
Adheres to an established work schedule and the organization's timekeeping practices.
Travels throughout California, as needed.
May be asked to work occasional overtime, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays for activities that are required to be done after-hours.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Equivalent to the completion of an associate degree and three (3) years of experience performing complex administrative tasks and supporting management.
Knowledge of
Techniques for providing a high level of customer service by effectively dealing with the public, vendors, contractors, and Association staff.
Marketing and promotional practices to grow and retain client base.
Organization and function of nonprofit organizations, boards, and commissions.
Applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulatory codes, ordinances, and procedures relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
Principles and practices of data collection, information management, and report preparation.
Computer applications related to the work, including word processing, web design, database, and spreadsheet applications.
Recordkeeping principles and procedures.

Environmental Elements & Physical Demands
Employee works in a primarily sedentary office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
Employee is personally responsible for following health and safety guidelines, instructions, and policies.
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person, and over the telephone; must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push and pull drawers open and closed in the execution of duties.
Must be able to sit at computer for long periods of time and have the dexterity to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator, and operate standard office equipment.
Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds, hand truck available to assist.
Must be able to travel frequently on both day and overnight trips throughout the state of California.
Must have the dexterity and mobility to facilitate or present information to a group, access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator, and operate standard facilitation equipment.
Proof of insurance and a clean DMV record may be required.

CSBA offers a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three (3) days in-office based out of our West Sacramento office and two (2) days working remotely.
Paid Time Off:
Vacation: Accrues 10 days annually for hourly employees and 15 days annually for salary employees. The rate at which you accrue will increase annually with years of service.
Floating holidays: 32 hours annually accrue date of hire.
Separate sick leave accrual: 8 hours accrued monthly.
Holiday: 10 CSBA recognized holidays annually
December Office Closure: During the latter part of December each year CSBA closes its office. During this time, employees are paid for 6 days in addition to the December 25 and January 1 holiday.
Sabbatical Program: Employees with at least seven (7) years of continuous full-time employment in their current period of service are eligible for up to four (4) weeks of paid leave.
