The Department

The Parks and Recreation Department's mission is to enhance the quality of life and strengthen the bonds of community by providing an appropriate mix of safe, well-maintained and well-designed parks, open spaces, and community center facilities that are accessible for all residents; provide enriching leisure opportunities for all age groups; and to preserve and protect the City's natural resources, including its urban forest, public open spaces, and landscaped medians and islands.

The Position

The Golf Services Manager oversees all golf course daily functions, activities, operations, maintenance, and staff, while developing and implementing goals, objectives, and standards for the division. This position plans, supervises, leads, and reviews maintenance activities for the golf course and related facilities; administers concessionaire and food and beverage contracts; prepares and administers the division's budget; and plans and implements approved short- and long-term renovations to course grounds and facilities. The Golf Services Manager also administers, maintains, and supports golf operations technology, serves as a liaison with City departments and outside agencies, and stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of golf course management and operations.
