The IT Assistant Manager plays a key supporting role in the management and execution of IT operations, projects, and documentation. This position focuses on IT project supportincluding the development of project plans and investment documentationas well as IT billing and administrative functions such as invoice processing and cross-department collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in core IT disciplines, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. - Support IT projects by creating and maintaining detailed documentation such as project charters, timelines, business cases, and investment approval documents.
- Act as a liaison between the IT department and Accounting to process IT invoices, track expenditures, and ensure accurate billing and budget alignment.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for IT systems and services, including network diagrams, architecture overviews (on-premise and cloud), and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in tracking project progress, preparing reports for IT leadership, and maintaining project documentation repositories.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in all technical documentation.
- Support IT governance processes, including risk assessments, compliance tracking, and policy adherence.
- Provide backup support for service management and IT helpdesk escalations as needed.
- Participate in vendor and product evaluations by gathering requirements and documenting analysis and recommendations.
- Support internal IT audits by compiling documentation and assisting with remediation efforts.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth project execution and issue resolution.
- Assist with software license tracking, renewals, and hardware asset management.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and knowledge base updates.
