OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: The DreamLab Program Experience Coordinator will support, develop, and deliver engaging, high-quality programmatic experiences in the Girl Scout DreamLab. This role is hands-on, program-focused, and youth-centered, spending most of the time directly facilitating programs, coordinating logistics, and supporting participant engagement. The Program Experience Coordinator will report directly to the Girl Scout DreamLab Manager.   


The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with youth, particularly girls, while collaborating with internal teams and community partners to bring programs to life.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Delivery & Facilitation

  • Facilitate engaging, inclusive, & developmentally appropriate programs for girls of all ages.
  • Deliver programmatic experiences for Girl Scouts, community partners & public audiences.
  • Support partner-led programming through coordination, on-site assistance, & participant engagement.
  • Update the current on-demand programming menu to offer unique experiences to individual troops.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects Girl Scout values & encourages community participation.  
  • Supports implementation of programs developed by the Girl Scout DreamLab Manager. 

Program Planning & Coordination

  • Develop program curriculum, activity guides, and experience-based learning content. 
  • Collaborate with internal program facilitators and DreamLab Leadership as needed to develop programming that fits the needs of membership.
  • Coordinate program logistics including program outlines, timelines, run-of-show documents, materials, and space setup.
  • Maintain a calendar of daily and special program offerings.
  • Identify gaps or opportunities within the program calendar and support the development of new offerings.
  • Consistently completes assigned work and tasks accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.

Program Evaluation & Reporting

  •  Generate program reports and assist with pre- and post-program surveys.
  • Track participation data and program feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with monitoring program expenses and maintaining organized records.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of Girl Scout programming, registration processes, and safety 
    guidelines to ensure a positive and compliant experience for members and participants.
  • Responsible for supporting and achieving established programmatic goals through the successful facilitation of at least 12 DreamLab-marketed programs and 8 on-demand programs per month.
  • Responsible for supporting and meeting the revenue goals established by the Manager for the current fiscal year’s budget through successful program and event planning. 

Collaboration, Communication & Retail Support

  • Collaborate with other DreamLab staff to support smooth, engaging, and consistent program delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with GSCSNJ program teams, membership teams, and community partners to 
    support local programmatic needs.
  • Support member engagement and recruitment activities through program experiences hosted in the 
    DreamLab.
  • Support retail sales operations during programs and daily DreamLab activities by assisting customers, answering product questions, and promoting Girl Scout merchandise and experiences.
  • Collaborate with retail staff to ensure program-related merchandise is highlighted appropriately and aligned with DreamLab programming.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects GSCSNJ’s commitment to pluralism and 
    diversity.

Customer Experience & Support

  • Provide courteous, professional, and knowledgeable customer service to girls, families, volunteers, and community members.
  • Answer general questions related to DreamLab programming and Girl Scout experiences.
  • Assist visitors during programs to ensure a positive, engaging experience. 

 

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, retail, education, or youth-serving environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in program planning, program logistics, or event coordination preferred.
  • Prior experience working with youth is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Girl Scout experience is a plus but not required.

General Physical and Professional Expectations

This is an in-office position at the Girl Scout DreamLab location in North Brunswick, NJ.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with youth, adults, staff, volunteers, and community partners.  
  • Comfortable facilitating activities and engaging groups of participants.  
  • Willingness to follow established procedures and program guidelines.  
  • Ability to gather, track, and maintain program data and logistical details.  
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with program setup and materials handling.  
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.  
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Role will predominantly consist of working evenings and weekends

SALARY RANGE: $36,000 - $41,000

This represents the present low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
