WCS Healthcare is currently partnering with a busy Endoscopy Center in Hamilton, NJ seeking 2-3 Endoscopy Technicians to join their growing team. Position Overview
The Endoscopy Technician plays a vital role in supporting endoscopic procedures by preparing procedure rooms, maintaining equipment, assisting clinical staff, and ensuring a safe, efficient patient care environment.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Must be flexible to stay later based on procedural volume and patient needs
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment before endoscopic procedures
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures as directed
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopy equipment according to established protocols
- Ensure all supplies and instruments are stocked and readily available
- Transport patients as needed and assist with patient positioning
- Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of supply needs
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and equipment logs
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the center
Qualifications
- Previous Endoscopy Technician, Surgical Technician, GI Technician, or related healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of endoscopy equipment reprocessing and sterilization procedures preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient movement when necessary
- BLS certification preferred
