Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a manufacturing-focused business with full responsibility for financial performance, operational execution, commercial strategy, and organizational leadership. This individual will own the business P&L, develop and execute strategic and operating plans, and lead cross-functional teams across manufacturing, distribution, sales, and marketing.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a business-minded manufacturing executive who can balance profitability, operational performance, customer needs, and long-term growth.

Job Duties: 

  • Own the business P&L, including revenue, costs, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and achievement of financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans and long-term business strategies to drive growth and improve financial performance.
  • Lead manufacturing and distribution operations while ensuring performance across quality, safety, service, productivity, and cost.
  • Develop pricing strategies by evaluating customer needs, market conditions, competitive activity, and key cost drivers.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams on customer strategy, product commercialization, market opportunities, and business growth initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, growth, and process optimization.
  • Identify business risks and make sound decisions regarding contracts, customers, facilities, investments, and other major business opportunities.
  • Lead and develop a team of managers and senior leaders, with a focus on performance, retention, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Establish clear business priorities and communicate strategy, goals, and expectations across the organization.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and other external business partners.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food, beverage, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with full P&L and financial responsibility for a business, business unit, or significant operation.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing senior-level leaders and/or multiple functional departments.
  • Proven track record of improving business results across areas such as profitability, quality, safety, service, and cost.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, distribution, financial management, sales, marketing, pricing, and business strategy.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5–15%.
