Description

VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a General LedgerAccountant to provide support in Troy, MI. You will provide support for a large automotive supplier conducting full cycle accounting, general ledger coding, account reconciliations, and month end close.

 

POSITION TYPE: Full time. Long Term Contract. Must be available to work fully in office.

PAY: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on education and skill level). Health/Dental/Vision/Holidays after 90 days

 

Requirements of the General Ledger Accountant:

  • Degree in Accounting , Finance, Business or similar required.

  • Automotive / Manufacturing industry experience is desirable.

  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting that includes account and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month end close.

  • Experience working at a company with multiple locations.

  • Strong analysis skills and attention to details.

  • Technical skills: MS Office (Intermediate to advanced Excel), Experience with ERP Systems. SAP S4Hanna, HFM, or OneStream highly preferred.

  • Ability to interview and start quickly and pass a background check.

 

Duties of the General ledger Accountant:

  • Support accounting activities for assigned group of divisions. 

  • Work cross functionally with the North America Accounting team. 

  • Take part in all month end close processes.

  • Responsible for full cycle accounting and transactions.

  • Create journal entries with accurate coding of GL accounts and cost centers. Assist in preparing entries for the group s investments and financing operations such as external investments, revaluations/adjustments.

  • Perform complex GL postings and reconciliations to ensure accuracy on financial reporting and to identify and correct any unusual items. 

  • Reconcile all balance sheet and key income statement accounts. 

  • Complete  data loads  for  financial consolidation  to  OneStream for  actuals  and forecast/budgets. 

  • Identify  areas of  improvement  for transaction  level  processing within  the department.

  • Adhere to accounting policies, controls, and procedures relating to Company-wide policies.

  • Provide support for audits.
