General Accounting Analyst (Direct Hire)

Location: Torrington, CT

Pay:$26.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)Express Employment Professionals is seeking a General Accounting Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity with a local manufacturing company. This position supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. Candidates must be highly proficient and comfortable working with complex spreadsheets, formulas, reporting, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process AP invoices, vendor payments, and vendor account maintenance
• Manage AR invoicing, cash receipts, collections, and customer accounts
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Generate financial reports and maintain accurate financial records
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions
• Advanced Excel proficiency required; Excel fluency is a must
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
