IT Business AnalystUnder general supervision, the IT Business Analyst analyzes enterprise-wide customer business needs & participates in the planning, design & implementation of new or enhanced systems or reporting/analysis on multiple IT development projects. Responsibilities include:Participates in the demand management process to assist the business in establishing business cases, scope, and requirements relating to requests for new systems or existing system changesPrimarily support IT acquisition of products or services by developing scope/statements of work, compliance documents, and procurement documentsConsults with project teams and architects to identify currently know solutions or performs market researchGathers information/documentation from vendors or contractorsTranslates business needs into requirements and functional/non-functional specificationsGather, clarify/define, and document scope, business scenarios, workflows, requirements, etc.Conduct interviews, workshops, and JAD sessionsAnalyzes and validates business requirements and processes, identifies opportunities for process enhancement to benefit the Department, identifies gaps in informationUses a structured process to define priorities and opportunities and/or works with stakeholders to define the minimum viable product (MVP) and options for improvements via subsequent phasesProduces required work artifactsCommunicates and presents client's business requirements to implementation teamsCreates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and system architectsWorks with the team to define acceptance criteria or other metrics/performance goals for the systemProvides status updates, completes weekly work time logs, updates work tickets weeklyProvide estimates and target dates for task completion for incorporation into project schedules or work ticketsWork Terms and Conditions:8 Hour workdays on a fixed schedule (i.e. not a flex-schedule), starting no earlier than 7:00AM Eastern Time, starting no later than 9:00AM Eastern Time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per weekRequired/Desired SkillsBS/BA in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.) - Required - 4 YearsIT business analysis work experience in software development, project management, or technology implementations/support - Required - 5 YearsExperience with Microsoft Office Professional, including Visio - Required - 5 YearsExperience with data and business process analysis - Required - 3 YearsExperience in developing statements/scope of work for contracting and procurement - Required - 3 YearsWork experience in reviewing software license, service, or support level agreements - Required - 0Experience with procurements or solicitations, developing scopes of work or statements of work. - Required - 3 YearsStrong analytical/technical skills, able to provide impact/risk assessments - Required - 0Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills - Required - 0Strong problem solving and organizational skills - Required - 0Detail oriented, analytical mindset - Required - 0Able to manage multiple projects/tasks at once; Results oriented and highly organized; Able to work in a fast-paced environment - Required - 0Strong interviewing, active listening, communication, presentation, moderating meetings, and interpersonal skills - influencing, negotiating, etc. - Required - 0Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare presentations and write scope/specifications for procurement/contracting - Required - 0Able to provide portfolio or examples of scopes of work or statements of work they prepared. - Required - 0
