Role Summary

The Game Plan & Group Sales Consultant is directly involved with the sale of tickets, customer relationships, and network building. This role uses planning, organizational and people skills to prospect and achieve season ticket, group ticket, individual ticket and catering sales goals as established by the Directors for the Mud Hens, Walleye, and Hensville. This role works a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business and clients.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage personal sales goals and help the ticket department achieve the goals established by the Director(s) of Ticket Sales for both the Mud Hens and Walleye.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for potential clients, ensuring pricing and configurations are accurate.
  • Maintain all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations.
  • Sell a variety of game plans to customers based on their needs.
  • Establish new and potential client relationships to generate new sales and attract new companies/fans.
  • Sell, and upsell (merchandise, food & beverage etc.) group outings and catered events to businesses, organizations and groups.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sports Marketing/Management, Sales, Communication or another business-related field.
  • Experience working in a customer service role or setting.
  • Previous experience working in a ticket office setting or with the ProVenue ticketing system preferred.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with an innate sense of urgency and tenacity.
  • Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart information.
  • Computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess an excellent attitude and thrive in a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and adjust to rapidly changing business conditions.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays, and some workweeks over 40 hours to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position when working in the office.
  • The person in this role frequently moves about to with the customer at a variety of locations (i.e. at our office, gamedays, the customers office, restaurant etc.). Must be able to travel to those meetings/appointments.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Constant communication with customers, must be able to exchange accurate information.
