Salary range: $81,167 - $112,865* annually
Proposed Start Date: September 1st, 2026
This position will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) days. The College reserves the right to close the recruitment at any time after the minimum posting period once a sufficient applicant pool has been established.
The Temporary Transitional Studies Faculty is a full-time faculty member who provides teaching to a wide variety of students from many linguistic and cultural backgrounds. In addition to teaching students in our High School + and GED program, they will also provide leadership and coordination for the college's I-BEST programs while maintaining instructional responsibilities. The coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, academic and workforce programs, advising staff, and administrators to develop, implement, and support integrated education and workforce training programs. This position will be required to deliver effective instruction in essential math, writing, communication, and academic skills tailored to meet the needs of I-BEST students and their chosen field, co-teach with content area faculty in I-BEST programs, share instructional responsibilities to enhance student success, and provide dedicated basic skills instruction in the Transitional Studies program. A one-third release will be given to provide I-BEST coordination.

Faculty members must submit official, unopened transcripts to the Human Resources department within 30 days of their employment.
This is a full-time faculty position contracted on an annual basis. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will be commensurate with educational background and experience. The salary will be prorated to reflect the actual contract days remaining in the academic year. The salary range listed represents an annual compensation range. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE). Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department. Evening and/or weekend classes, instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses, and off-campus assignments may be a part of the instructional load.
