Job Purpose

The Full-time Information Technology and Computer Science Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in information technology courses, supporting student learning, and contributing to academic standards within the department. This role includes teaching two to three courses as assigned, supporting course development, participating in curriculum revision, and engaging in institutional effectiveness activities to promote student achievement and program quality.

Education and Experience Required

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; doctorate degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of college-level teaching experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis concepts and tools
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and instructional use
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and academic communication
• Experience using LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and instructional technology
• Ability to manage multiple teaching and academic responsibilities effectively

Description

Course Instruction – Teach 2–3 IT courses as assigned and deliver outcomes-aligned instruction.

Student Support – Provide timely feedback, respond to inquiries, and monitor student academic progress.

Curriculum Participation – Assist with course revision to maintain academic relevance and alignment.

Data & Analysis Integration – Provide data analysis using Excel or other analytical tools to generate reports.

Student & Faculty Data Management – Collect, analyze, and report on student performance, faculty assignments, and course effectiveness

Student & Faculty Support – Respond to academic inquiries, assist faculty with course-related tasks, and support student academic monitoring.

Academic Collaboration – Work with other departments to ensure consistency in academic standards.

Technology & Data Analysis – Utilize Microsoft Excel and academic management systems (e.g., Moodle, SONIS) for scheduling and reporting.

Work Environment & Responsibilities – Office-based role requiring availability for on-campus and online meetings to address faculty and student concerns.
