We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our general dentistry team. The ideal candidate must hold current DANB certification and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role supports the dentist in providing comprehensive dental treatment while ensuring patient comfort and clinical efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting for general dentistry procedures including restorative, crown & bridge, extractions, endodontics, and preventive services
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Assist with impressions, temporaries, and digital scanning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Manage inventory and maintain organized clinical areas
- Support smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) Certification- Required
- Current Pennsylvania radiology certification- Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification- Required
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate provider needs
- Positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient care
