Overview:

Regional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA) is looking for an exceptional Front Office Coordinator to join the team. This position professionally greets and welcomes patients and their friends/family. Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. This individual must also possess strong multi-tasking abilities and bring positivity and passion to their work. While some experience is preferred, we are very open to new grads looking to explore oncology care.

Compensation: $18.99 - $29.22 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Greets patientsandvisitorstotheclinicin a prompt,courteousandprofessionalChecksinpatientsandinformsclinical staff ofpatientarrival.
  • ProvidesandexplainspaperworkforthepatienttocompletepriortoCollects,proofs for completeness,and scans/filespatient forms. Updatesdemographicsandinsuranceinformationinthesystem.Collectsco-paysandbalances;providesreceipt.
  • Answers phone calls in a prompt, courteous, professional manner.
  • Answers,screens,andrespondstoroutinequestions via phone, electronic communications, or face to face contact, routes toappropriatepersonnel,ortakethoroughPagesclinicpersonnelasappropriate.Communicatesmessagesinanaccurateandtimelymanneraccordingtoprocedures.
  • Contacts clinic personnel as appropriate
  • Records patientcancellationsand missed appointments;reschedulesNotifiesappropriate staff ofthecancellationandmakesnoteinpatientchart.
  • Schedule outside consults/procedures ordered by physician
  • Providesgeneraladministrativesupportby scanning/filing charts and forms or ensuring they are sent to the appropriate department/personnel for filing and scanning. Maintainslobbyareain a neatandorderlyMaintains a legiblesupplyof forms andappropriateofficesuppliesrequiredfordailyactivities.
  • Adherestoconfidentiality, state, federal,andHIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)lawsandguidelineswithregardstopatient’s
  • Schedules all CT (CAT) scans, PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans, once approved from insurance.
  • Maintains the chart message and anything that is in queue.
  • Scans and copies updated insurance cards.
  • Other dutiesasrequestedorMaytype memos and form. 
Qualifications:
  • Highschooldiplomaorequivalent
  • Atleasteighteen(18)months front medicalofficereceptionistexperiencewithinsurance forms andschedulingsoftwarerequired.
  • Knowledgeofthispractice’spersonnel,dailyroutines,andscheduling a ProficiencywithcomputersystemsandMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word,andExcel)required.
  • Must successfullycompleterequirede-learningcourseswithin90daysofoccupying
  • Demonstratesadaptability:Handlesdaytodayworkchallengesconfidently;iswillingandabletoadjusttomultipledemands, shifting priorities;demonstrates
  • Showswork commitment: Setshighstandardsofperformanceandworksefficientlytoachieve
  • Commits toquality:Emphasizestheneedtodeliverqualityproductsand/orservices

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethat must bemetbyanemployeetosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthis job. environment.Workwillinvolvein-personinteractionwithco-workersandmanagementand/orclients.Workmayrequireminimaltravelbyautomobiletoofficesites.
