Court firearms coordinator, a specialized court staff member, manages and coordinates all functions of the Firearms Transfer Assistance Program (FTAP). This role typically works closely with judges, county courts, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement, and other court personnel and agencies to ensure that firearms transfer orders in domestic violence and intimate partner protective order cases are properly administered and recorded.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Specialty Court Coordinator Supervisor. This position does not supervise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
One (1) year of relevant experience
Equivalency
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
License/Certifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor''s degree in Criminal Justice or another related field
Two (2) years of experience in law enforcement, court, or another criminal justice setting
