About the Opportunity

A premier global financial advisory firm is expanding its Financial Restructuring team and seeking Analysts and Associates to join its Minneapolis office. The restructuring group is consistently ranked among the most active in the world, advising companies, creditors, and other stakeholders on some of the most complex and high-profile distressed situations across every major industry. What You'll Do

  • Advise debtors, creditors, and other parties-in-interest on in-court (Chapter 11) and out-of-court restructurings, recapitalizations, distressed M&A, and financings.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including liquidity analyses, 13-week cash flow forecasts, and valuation and recovery analyses.
  • Prepare marketing materials, pitch books, and client presentations, as well as bankruptcy-related exhibits and expert materials.
  • Conduct company, industry, and capital structure due diligence to support live engagements.
  • Interface directly with clients, legal counsel, and other advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • (Associate level) Manage day-to-day execution, oversee and mentor Analysts, and take ownership of key workstreams and client deliverables.

What Our Client is Looking For

Analyst

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, restructuring, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a related field (strong recent graduates will be considered).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; strong academic record.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Associate

  • 3-6 years of experience, ideally with a foundation in restructuring, investment banking, leveraged finance, or distressed advisory.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams, manage junior team members, and interact with clients.

Both levels

  • Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and capital structures; familiarity with the bankruptcy process is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of professionalism, work ethic, and intellectual curiosity.

Compensation:

Analyst: Base of $135k - $145k with ~100% bonus

Associate: Base of $175k - $200k with ~100% bonus
