Overview: Manage the entire lifecycle of project setup, billing, and compliance within Deltek Costpoint. The new hire will act as a business partner to our Operations and Project Management teams. In addition, the new hire will handle complex contract modifications, ensure accurate labor and project setups on employee timesheets, help maintain Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS), and proactively resolve funding and revenue recognition issues.
Responsibilities:- Maintains financial records & ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Execute and oversee end-to-end billing setup, project creation, and maintenance within Deltek Costpoint.
- Review and accurately input contract modifications in Costpoint, adjusting funding ceilings, periods of performance, and contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP).
- Build out Project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS). Assign appropriate project and task codes to employee timesheets to ensure precise labor capture and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Contracts teams to analyze and resolve complex billing variances, unbilled receivables, and contract funding issues.
- Assist the Finance team with tracking, updating, and compiling data for the annual DCAA Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and indirect rate applications.
- Generate, review, and submit complex government invoices through WAWF/PIEE in strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA guidelines.
Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in project billing, contract administration, or project accounting within the Government Contracting sector.
- Hands-on proficiency with Deltek Costpoint REQUIRED (specifically the Billing and Project modules.)
- Deep understanding of various government contract types, including Cost-Plus (CPFF), Time & Materials (T&M), and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP).
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of successfully collaborating with operational teams to solve financial bottlenecks.
- Experience navigating WAWF/PIEE government invoicing portals.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, Sumifs) for data reconciliation.
