    Description

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Finance Manager to lead financial transformation across the Global Logistics Network. Amazon continuously innovates on behalf of customers to deliver faster and at lower cost. In this role, you will drive profitability and customer experience by directly shaping the development, planning, and execution of the Inbound supply chain network.

This is a build role. You will not inherit a mature P&L with established cadences. You will stand one up. You will carve out multi-billion-dollar business lines, define the financial architecture, and create the reporting infrastructure that gives leadership real visibility for the first time. The right candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and communicates with precision.

You will work closely with the Inbound Reporting, Planning and Execution team as a strategic finance business partner. You will take a practical, grounded approach to understanding operations, identifying cost savings opportunities, and owning the process for securing financial entitlements. Through deep dives into data and regular engagement with business leaders, you will translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decisions and drive profitability for the Inbound supply chain network.

    Key job responsibilities

    What You Will Do

Own the P&L for a newly carved-out business unit within the Inbound network, building the financial model from scratch

Design and run the planning and forecasting cadence for your scope, including WBR, MBR, and OP cycles

Partner directly with Ops, Tech, and network planning leaders to identify cost drivers, size opportunities, and own the financial story

Deep dive data to root cause variances, build strategy models, and surface insights that would otherwise stay buried in operational noise

Communicate findings clearly and succinctly to senior leadership, providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events

Build the reporting infrastructure your business partners need, not the reports they already have

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
