Finance Manager – Real Estate | Boston, MA | Hybrid

I’m working on a Finance Manager opportunity with a leading global investment firm’s real estate platform. This is a high-visibility role within a growing finance team, supporting both investment fund reporting and a diverse portfolio of direct real estate investments.

The portfolio spans sectors including multifamily, life sciences, industrial, retail, senior housing, self-storage and medical office, providing broad exposure to complex real estate investments and fund structures.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee quarterly and annual fund-level financial reporting under US GAAP and fair value accounting
• Provide accounting and reporting oversight for a portfolio of direct real estate investments
• Review promote and management fee calculations, ownership transfers and complex transactions
• Analyze fund cash positions and coordinate capital calls, distributions and investment funding
• Partner with Investment, Asset Management, Tax, Legal, IR, Compliance and other teams
• Coordinate with fund administrators, JV partners and external auditors
• Support valuations, acquisitions, dispositions and refinancings
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members
• Drive process improvements, including the use of technology and AI

Ideal background:

• 5–8 years of relevant real estate accounting experience
• Experience within a real estate investment manager preferred
• Strong understanding of real estate valuation, portfolio operations and financial reporting
• Fund reporting and/or public accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Yardi experience a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams

Work Model: Hybrid
Base Salary: $130,000–$150,000 + discretionary annual bonus
