Finance Manager – General Partner | Private Equity Firm
$130K–$150K Base + Bonus | Hybrid, 3 Days/Week | Boston, MA

A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a Finance Manager to join their accounting and finance team in Boston. This is a strong opportunity for someone coming from a tax, assurance, public accounting, partnership accounting, or financial services background who is looking to transition into a Manager-level role with a top private equity platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting and operations for various GP entities
• Manage cash activity, capital calls, distributions, reconciliations, and investor requests
• Support carry, vesting, profit/loss allocations, FMV reporting, and capital account activity
• Assist with quarterly tax estimates, annual tax reporting, and partnership books
• Enter and review cash, book, and tax activity in Investran
• Partner with internal teams and external advisors on reporting, policy matters, and ad hoc projects
• Drive process improvements, mentor junior team members, and support workflow automation

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of accounting experience in financial services, public accounting, tax, assurance, or partnerships
• Strong understanding of investment and partnership accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
• Experience managing direct reports
• Advanced Excel skills; Investran or similar fund accounting software preferred
